“The vision was to create a relaxing environment, within a Mediterranean inspired aesthetic, where you can conduct business or simply enjoy the sea views and added comfort,” expresses hotel General Manager Yossi Navi.

Last June, the Carlton Tel Aviv completed a series of ongoing renovations and upgrades across the hotel, totaling $12 million, including upgrading  the hotel’s 268 rooms and suites, public areas, meeting rooms, event spaces and the rooftop. “The vision was to create a relaxing environment, within a Mediterranean inspired aesthetic, where you can conduct business or simply enjoy the sea views and added comfort,” expresses hotel General Manager Yossi Navi.

The hotel serves mainly business clients from North America, China, Russia and Western Europe which accounts for around 75 percent of its market, with an increase in leisure clientele during Jewish and school holiday seasons. “As we serve a mixture of guests, we strive to cater to individual needs and are constantly introducing new elements to make their stay more pleasant, such as our new co-working desk in the lobby lounge, equipped with charging stations, or our Nespresso menu of coffees and the delicious cocktails menu we created in partnership with Jasper John’s, an upscale cocktail bar on Dizengoff St.” Within the last year, the lobby was completely renovated with new furnishings, flooring and lighting.

Rooms & Event Spaces
Rooms at the Carlton Tel Aviv are offered across categories of Superior, Premium, Deluxe, Royal Executive and Suite, each of which provides new turn down service that includes presenting each guest with a daily gift. “It’s a lovely surprise for guests to receive a special bottled scent, foot cream and other products – it changes every day,” explains Navi.

The main banqueting suite, meeting rooms and foyer have all been redesigned to offer a “contemporary feel,” according to Navi. “We want our visitors to experience a setting that has a modern upscale design and doesn’t necessarily feel like a hall within a hotel.” The renovations have introduced new furniture, carpeting, lighting fixtures, smart technology, LED screens and an eco-friendly electrical system. In addition, the second and third floors feature 3D custom made wall coverings carved from wood. “The design is young, fresh, inter-changeable and exciting, a perfect blend of textures and surroundings for all types of events, whether it’s a business meeting or special celebration.”

Dining & Other Amenities
The hotel recently unveiled Esperanto, a seasonal bar located on a wooden deck by the waterfront, serving a selection of small bites, cocktails, wines and beers. Leading on from Esperanto is Carlton on the Beach, which serves an Israeli buffet breakfast featuring various cuisine choices, including a waffle-making station and a juice bar. Two chef restaurants by Israeli Chef Meir Aloni are located inside the hotel: Lumina, offering a traditional menu of Jewish dishes, a bakery, and with the option to book a private dining room, and Blue Sky, a rooftop dining restaurant serving fish and vegetarian dishes from seasonal menus.

Other hotel amenities include: The Royal Executive Lounge for guests staying in Executive rooms and Suites; a rooftop swimming pool with lounge deck and bar, and a spa complex with two treatment rooms, Turkish Hammam, dry sauna, wet room, relaxation room and a gym.

“We are customer-service focused and take pride in our attentive staff, who are here to serve our guests throughout their stay,” says Navi. “Our renovations have aided our efforts in maintaining our status as one of the most reputable business hotels within Israel, and we will continue to develop, to offer additional value to each and every guest.”
