The Israel Airports Authority (IAA) has released information on the establishment of a hotel at Ben Gurion Airport, which will be included as a priority area in the Encouragement of Capital Investments Law, in accordance with the decision of Israel’s Ministry of Finance last October to build the hotel. The 400-room property will have a license period of 25 years from the start of construction and will be developed to at least a three-star status, based on criteria by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. The Ben Gurion Airport Hotel, constructed on around 1.9 acres of land adjacent to the western side of Terminal 3, will offer direct access to Terminal 3 and will contain various dining options, conference halls and a gym. The hotel is expected to serve a market of business guests, tourists, air crew and delayed passengers, among others. More information to follow.
