Ramat Hanadiv is a nature site located between Zikhron Ya’akov and Binyamina, dedicated in memory of Baron Edmond de Rothschild, who played a role in the establishment of the State of Israel.

The Memorial Garden which spans around 17 acres, is characterized by wild grass, seasonal flowers, trees and four gardens – The Fragrance Garden, Rose Garden, The Palm Garden and the Cascade Garden; in addition to an amphitheater, which stages summer concerts, and The Crypt courtyard enclosure. The entrance to the Memorial Garden is split into five pathways, each representing a member of the Rothschild family.

The Nature Park provides three circular walking trails, suitable for all types of walkers: the Spring, Manor and Vultures trails each offer a route depicting a different subject interest. There are also two bike trails: – The woodland trail, a 7.5km route suitable for families; and the cliff trail, a 10km route for more experienced riders, which passes through a selection of sites and structures around the park.

The Visitors Pavilion, which serves as an information center, has been designed to blend into its natural surroundings and connects the Memorial Garden to the Nature Park. The pavilion features a gallery and exhibition on the subject of sustainability, and also hosts international conferences. An environmentally friendly playground for children is located at the end of the building.

Workshops & Activities
Organized group activities and workshops are offered in English, Hebrew and Arabic and include painting in the memorial gardens; the ‘Healing Herbs – Tour and Workshop’, and a workshop where groups can blend their own personal fragrance. Bar Mitzvah groups can also book a specialty tour, offering a range of workshops focusing on different areas, including the values of becoming an adult.

Other amenities at Ramat Hanadiv include Tai Chi sessions, the Mata’im Restaurant (offering a kosher dairy menu and which also serves an event space) and a shop selling green and recycled products. In addition, the site hosts various events and festivals throughout the year.
