RwandAir to launch route to Israel

Israel is opening up to Africa as more airlines from the continent are eager to fly to the Jewish State.

Rwanda’s National Carrier RwandAir will soon launch a new route to a number of destinations, including Israel.

According to Calcalist, “Israel’s transportation minister Yisrael Katz and Rwandan Ambassador Joseph Rotabana signed an aviation agreement Monday between the two countries. According to the agreement, each country will be able to operate up to seven flights per week between Ben-Gurion Airport and Kigali International Airport.”

A few months ago, Raphael Morav, Israel’s ambassador to Rwanda, Ethiopia and Burundi, tweeted, “It’s always a pleasure and privilege to meet with Yvonne Makolo – CEO of RwandAir for discussion on opening next year a regular service to Tel Aviv, Israel.”
