80 representatives from among the largest travel agencies and tourism wholesalers in the world, are visiting Israel this week, hosted by the Ministry of Tourism, as part of the ministry’s annual “Israel conference.” Participants from 16 countries will visit Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, Christian tourist sites, Caesarea and more. The conference, which will last for six days, opens at the Nature Museum in Ramat Aviv at the end of the week, in cooperation with “Ir Olam”, the Israel Hotel Association and the Tel Aviv Hotel Association.

Tourism Ministry Director-General Amir Halevi: “The Israel conference is taking place against the backdrop of the ongoing high-level record of tourists entering Israel. Thanks to innovative marketing work on the one hand, and hosting agents and exposure to Israeli products on the other hand, Israel has become a preferred destination for tourism from all over the world. This conference is a continuation of the same activity that we hope will lead to more record breaking events in the years to come. “
