David Fatal received the prestigious award for promoting Israel’s foreign international business relations and his tremendous contribution over many years to the promotion and development of tourism.
Also, at the same event, the Ambassador of Bahrain to Israel, Khaled Youssef Al Jalahama, and the Ambassador of Morocco to Israel, Abdel Rahim Biod, received the ‘Ambassador of the Year’ award in recognition of their work for diplomatic relations between the countries, alongside the businessman, Yoram Noor, who received The ‘Honorary Consul’ award.
As part of the opening speech given by Yitzhak Eldan, founder and president of the Ambassadors Club, he added and quoted the words of the President Mr. Yitzhak Herzog who greeted and said: “I am happy that this forum also recognizes those who engage in diplomacy through informal channels, David Fattal whose hotels serve as a living bridge that brings together nations from around the world”.
The chairman of the Hoteliers’ Association, Avi Nissenkorn, who took the stage to speak in praise of Fattal, said: “David Fattal, who has an extraordinary vision, boldness alongside responsibility, fulfillment, optimism, modesty, business acumen, attention to detail and seeing the whole as well, but above all, a man of the people, who knows how to choose and promote friendships and friends along the way, who have grown with him.”
The four tokens of appreciation that were distributed on stage were accompanied by a certificate and a one-of-a-kind statuette prepared by the jeweler Avi Tabisal and made of carved Jerusalem stone and gold plating.
The ceremony was attended by official representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the diplomatic community – ambassadors and consuls from dozens of countries, the consular staff in Israel – honorary consuls and leading businessmen.
