World Travel Awards is an international organization known as a hallmark of quality and excellence in the tourism industry and this year celebrates 29 years of activity. It is actually the annual Oscar competition of tourism.

Every year the leading tourism institutions in the world are chosen by tourism professionals and consumers with over 650,000 votes from 160 countries. This year, the competition was extremely important, since the year 2022 is considered the year of returning to normality after the corona virus.

This is the first time that the Waldorf Astoria Hotel has won the prestigious title of ‘The Best Leading Hotel in Israel’.

The win was revealed at a ceremony at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Amman. The representatives of the Jerusalem hotel received the announcement of the win this morning.
