25 residents of New Caledonia, Christian evangelists, recently completed an eight-day visit to Israel.

Members of the group, from the Southwestern Pacific Ocean islands, participated in the flag parade held in Jerusalem and paid respect to the victims of October 7, with a visit to the site of the Nova Festival.

Diesenhaus Unitours Incoming Tourism, one of the leading tour operators in Israel, mentioned: “We thank the group members for choosing us and their desire to travel in Israel, emphasizing that in most of our special country, one can travel safely”.

Official relations between Israel and New Caledonia, a French territory in the Pacific, are handled by France, so official diplomatic ties with Israel would be on a France-Israel level. New Caledonia does have a small Jewish community with a synagogue.
