“Against the background of the complex security situation, the tourism industry in Israel is experiencing a particularly challenging period, from tourists who have stopped coming to hotels that remain empty in the northern region. We believe that the existence of the tourism exhibition these days is a significant value for Israeli tourism, as well as a significant platform for strengthening business relations between Israel and the world at a time when the industry is going through challenges, the exhibition is a revival for renewed growth and rehabilitation of the tourism industry in Israel”.
The annual and international tourism exhibition IMTM (International Mediterranean Tourism Market) 2025, will be held in Israel for the 31st time. Following the ‘Iron Swords’ war, inbound tourism was almost completely stopped and in many parts of Israel in the north and south tourism decreased dramatically. The largest IMTM tourism exhibition in the Middle East has always been a significant part of the promotion and leveraging of Israeli tourism in Israel and the world, and during the war it is part of the restoration of the tourism industry that needs more than ever to start and grow. Despite the war, the organizers of the exhibition anticipate that Israeli tourism exhibitors will participate, as well as from countries around the world.
The IMTM exhibition is intended for all those involved in the various branches of tourism – domestic tourism, inbound tourism as well as countries and tourism agencies from abroad. As every year, the exhibition is expected to be a colorful and joyful celebration in which desirable destinations will be revealed, impressive local and international pavilions will be presented. The exhibition includes meetings and interpersonal connections, lectures and conferences. In addition, there is a program for invited agents in which hundreds of decision-makers from around the world come who market Israel as a tourist destination.
In 2024, the exhibition was held during the height of the war and thanks to the great reputation and significance of IMTM in the world of tourism, even during the height of the war, exhibitors from the countries of the world came to participate, including Romania, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Greece and more. The purpose of postponing the date of the exhibition is to enable the widest possible participation of countries and exhibitors from Israel and the world and to help restore tourism in Israel, as well as to continue to strengthen the position of the Israeli tourist vis-a-vis tourism destinations in Israel and the world.
The countries exhibiting at the IMTM 2025 exhibition will be represented by national and regional tourism offices, convention centers, hotels, resorts, shipping companies, car rental companies, airlines from various countries, tourism agents, travel agencies, tourist destination management companies, trade associations, service providers and attractions of various types in the field of tourism from around the world. The exhibition, organized by “Ortra” Ltd. and Israel Travel News, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, will take place between May 7-8 at ExpoO Tel Aviv. You can register for free with a quick and simple registration through the official website of IMTM 2025.
