President Yitzhak Herzog arrived with his wife Michal on a state visit to Turkey at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Before taking off, Herzog said: “We will not agree on everything. The relationship has known ups and downs in recent years, and we will try to reboot it. I hope that following the visit will begin a process of deep and serious dialogue with Turkey at various levels, and we will see progress in relations”.
Israir affixed the words “Peace and Cooperation” to the fuselage in Turkish, English and Hebrew. During their visit, the president and his wife will visit Ankara and Istanbul, where they will hold meetings with the Turkish president and members of the Jewish community.
