As of June 2, the Italian company ITA Airways has increased the number of its daily flights from Rome to Tel Aviv. The flights are expected to connect to the company’s variety of onward flights, including the company’s new destinations in North America.
ITA Airways has just increased the frequency of its direct flights from Rome to Tel Aviv to three daily flights. The flights are operated by Airbus A320 narrow-body aircraft, and depending on the demand we estimate that we may also see wide-body aircraft such as the Airbus A330/A350 as before. In the future, the company aims to place on the line A321neo planes with full business class with bed seats.
The increased frequency to Tel Aviv and back to Rome will also connect Israeli passengers to ITA’s expanding network of connecting flights from Rome that already includes destinations such as New York, Los Angeles, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires and more. For example, the new flight will shorten the connection time of the flights with ITA to Tokyo and now the Italian company will be able to offer flights with a short connection of 2-3 hours in Rome. Combined with an attractive price of about $800 in the next winter season, it is possible that the passengers from Israel will choose this option.
In addition, ITA is expected to offer convenient connection flights to new destinations that the company will launch this summer. For example, it will operate 5 direct weekly flights from Rome to Washington on the A330 planes and starting July 21st also 3 weekly flights to San Francisco on the A350 planes, the company’s flagship that also includes new and up-to-date classes.
