Following the recent acquisition by the Dayan Family of four Africa Israel Hotels for a reported $147 million, a further deal has been signed by the family to purchase full ownership of the company for a further $115 million. Africa Israel Hotels, which is owned equally by Africa Israel Investments and Netz Group Ltd., started the partnership five years ago, with the company franchising and operating hotels under the Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn brand names. Currently, Africa Israel Hotels owns the Crowne Plaza hotels in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Haifa and has a 50 percent stake in the Crowne Plaza Dead Sea. In addition, the company manages the Bay View Hotel in Haifa, the recently rebranded Harlington Hotel (previously the Holiday Inn Ashkelon), and also leases La Playa Hotel and Be City Hotel in Eilat to third parties
