IHG Announces Plans to Open Hotel in Jerusalem
The new Intercontinental hotel will be built on King George St., near downtown Jerusalem, and is expected to open in 2020.

The prestigious hotel chain Intercontinental Hotels Group has announced it plans to open a new hotel in Jerusalem. The hotel will be built on King George St., near downtown Jerusalem, and is expected to open in 2020. It will cost approximately $130 million to build and will include 229 rooms spread among 17 floors. Included in the hotel will be an event hall, a bar, two restaurants, a fitness center and a spa.
With this announcement, IHG will now have two hotels in Jerusalem as well as a second Intercontinental after the David Intercontinental in Tel Aviv.
