Israel’s hotels hosted more tourists than ever in 2018
The rate of increase in tourist entries to Israel compared to 2017 amounted to 14% and 42% compared with 2016.

The numbers are in! Israel’s hotels experienced their overall best year in 2018. The Israel Hotels Association published a summary of the data for 2018 in hotels and compared them to the data for 2017 and the last decade. In 2018, approximately 11.6 million tourist hotel stays were recorded, an increase of 9% compared to 2017 and an increase of 35% compared to 2016. Tourist stays constituted about 46% of all stays. Most of which were in Jerusalem (34%), Tel Aviv (24%), and Tiberias (around 11%). The rate of increase in tourist entries to Israel compared to 2017 amounted to 14% and 42% compared with 2016.
