“The Fattal hotel chain is happy to continue to develop in Israel as a whole and in the capital city of the State of Israel in particular. The hotel is expected to open in about five years, and I am confident that its attractive location and unique style will be a center of attraction for both tourists and Israelis”.

The Fattal chain signs a purchase agreement for the ‘Ron Hotel’ in Jerusalem, which is expected to open during the year 2027 with an investment of approximately 250 million ILS.

The hotel is located in the most central and attractive point of the city – Zion Square on Jaffa Street – walking distance from the Ben Yehuda Pedestrian Street, Machaneh Yehudah Market, Sderot Mamilla and the Old City, and close to the light rail station with access to all parts of the city and its many attractions.

The hotel will be designed by the Feiglin architectural firm, will operate as a luxury hotel and will include approximately 169 luxurious rooms, a reception lobby, a dining room, a bar and pool on the roof, a gym and extensive commercial areas.

The hotel building, which has a fascinating historical background, was established in the 1920s, was leased to operate as a hotel called “Hotel Tel Aviv” – in 1926. On August 3, 1948, Prime Minister Menachem Begin spoke on the balcony of the hotel and announced the dissolution of the IDF and the joining of its fighters to the IDF. Besides Begin, the building was used as a place for speeches at many other political events. In 1958, its name was changed to the “Ron” hotel.
