August breaks new incoming tourism record
Significantly, Israel saw a 9% rise over last year and a 20% increase on 2017.

The tourists just keep on coming.
In August, approximately 304,600 tourists arrived in Israel breaking new records. Significantly, this is a 9% rise over last year and a 20% increase on 2017.
In total, from January through August of this year, 2.892 million tourists entered the country. Last year, for the same period, 2.635 tourists arrived.
This year, in August alone, 270,000 tourists arrived by air, an 8% increase over last year and a 17% increase compared to 2017.
At the same time, 34,000 tourists arrived through land crossings in August, a 22% increase over last year and a whopping 56% increase compared to August 2017.
20,000 day tourists arrived in Israel in August, a slight drop from last year, which saw 22,000.
