First quarter of 2019 sees rising tourist hotel stays
2.9 million tourist stays - an increase of 9% over the first quarter of 2018!

The Economic Research Department of the Israel Hotels Association published data for the first quarter of 2019 in hotels compared to the same period in the past two years.
In the first quarter of the year, the upward trend in tourist stays continued, recording a 9% increase over the corresponding quarter last year and an increase of 27% compared to the corresponding quarter in 2017. 2.9 million tourist stays were recorded – an increase of 9% over the first quarter of 2018!
Tourist stays comprised approximately 54% of the total number of stays, most of the tourist stays were in Jerusalem (35%), Tel Aviv (21%) and Tiberias and the Sea of Galilee (13%).
