May has seen an increase of almost 17 percent in the number of tourists visiting Israel compared to the same month last year. 347,000 visitors were recording as entering the country, the highest figure ever for May, with 303,000 entering by air (an increase of 22 percent on May 2016) and 44,000 entries by land crossings.
During January-May 2017, 1.43 million tourists were recorded as entering Israel, reflecting a 25 percent increase on the same period in 2016.
