The Israel Incoming Tour Operators Association (IITOA) has announced an estimated 30 percent increase on the number of tourists entering Israel this year during the months of October and November, based on reports from the Central Bureau of Statistics. According to the IITOA, the rise in entry numbers is due in part to the marketing efforts of the Israel Ministry of Tourism and a growing perception of the country as a safe destination.
