Amid fears in Israel of the coronavirus spreading, Israel has instituted a lockdown of its borders to tourists from certain countries with recorded cases of the virus.
As a result and due to lack of demand, Air France has cancelled all flights to Israel until March 28.
In addition, the Lufthansa, Iberia and Alitalia airlines have all cancelled flights to Israel. El Al has canceled flights between Tel Aviv and Munich, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Budapest.
Israel’s Health Ministry is also expected to announce a ban on travelers arriving in Israel from New York, Washington, DC and California.
Further updates to come as more information becomes available.
