“I thought about how I could personally help in the marketing of Israel, and in spreading the good and beautiful that we have here in Israel to the world. Marketing Israel to the world is a difficult and important job that the Ministry of Tourism does and invests hundreds of millions of shekels, but because I see my position as a minister in the Israeli government as a national mission, I got involved and self-financed the video that will advertise our wonderful country to the world through social networks and the tools at my disposal”.

The summer is over, and in the world of tourism – we are already preparing for the “weak” period of the year. During this time, all over the world, the various countries begin to market themselves and attract as many tourists as possible from around the world. The Minister of Tourism, Yoel Razvozov, was also early to do this, starting Israel’s marketing efforts – this time led by none other than “James Bond”.

The Minister of Tourism, Yoel Razvozov decided to use his outward resemblance to the Hollywood actor Daniel Craig – aka the actor who plays “James Bond”, and produced himself – without using any state resources, an image film for Israel.

In the promotional film, some of the most beautiful tourist sites in Israel are presented, with the minister of tourism visiting all of them. It can be seen that this is not an official visit by a minister as we are used to, but a visit that would not embarrass scenes from action movies: surfing in the Kinneret and on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, diving in Eilat, but also walking (in the suit and bow tie familiar from the movies) on the walls of the old city of Jaffa, in the Negev deserts, In lively Tel Aviv (how is it possible without a martini glass in hand) and of course in Jerusalem and Nazareth, which are so important for religious tourism.
