Israel’s national carrier El Al is set to launch an experimental direct flight route between Tel Aviv, Israel and Australia in the second quarter of 2020. The long, 17-hour flight to Australia will use the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, and will be the longest direct flight El Al has ever flown to date. The airline recently purchased 16 modern Dreamliner aircraft, taking its passenger service and flight experience to a higher level. These aircraft will gradually be phased in during 2020 to replace the 747-400 and 767-300 fleets. The Dreamliner is meant to grow the El Al brand worldwide, allowing it to open new routes to and from Tel Aviv to fly passengers non-stop wherever they want in exceptional comfort.
