“The launch event for diplomats from around the world is a significant step in exposing IMTM 2025 to the international community, especially during these challenging times”
The International Mediterranean Tourism Market (IMTM), the Middle East’s largest annual tourism exhibition, unveiled its 2025 concept to a prestigious gathering of international diplomats, demonstrating a powerful vote of confidence in Israel’s tourism sector amidst current challenges.
In a first-of-its-kind event, the Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with ORTRA, hosted a closed-door presentation for approximately 80 senior diplomatic officials from around the globe, including representatives from China, the USA, India, Taiwan, Austria, Italy, and many more. The event, held at the Intercontinental David Hotel in Tel Aviv, served as a crucial platform to showcase IMTM 2025 and foster international tourism cooperation.
“The launch event for diplomats from around the world is a significant step in exposing IMTM 2025 to the international community, especially during these challenging times,” stated Eyal Shmueli, Publisher of ITN and IMTM Exhibition Initiatives. “This is the first event held for diplomats from around the world in preparation for IMTM, and we believe that it will yield new collaborations between Israel and the world.”
The 31st edition of IMTM, scheduled for May 7-8, 2025, at EXPO Tel Aviv, will serve as a pivotal platform for the rehabilitation and support of Israel’s tourism industry. Despite the ongoing war, the event underscores the resilience of the sector and its commitment to fostering international partnerships.
Minister of Tourism, Mr. Haim Katz, along with IMTM organizers Mr. Eyal Shmueli and Mr. Lior Gelfand, Chairman of the Israel Tour Operators Association, addressed the diplomats, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration and the potential of IMTM 2025 to drive tourism growth.
The exhibition will feature national and regional tourism offices, hotels, resorts, airlines, travel agencies, and other tourism-related entities from around the world. Attendees can expect to discover the top travel destinations for 2025, explore impressive international pavilions, participate in professional conferences and lectures, and connect with key industry players.
A dedicated program for invited agents will bring hundreds of international decision-makers to Israel, showcasing the country as a premier tourist destination.
Registration for IMTM 2025 is free of charge and can be completed easily through the official IMTM 2025 website.
