A luxury hotel project spearheaded by Israeli real-estate firm, Hagag Group, in partnership with Hollywood star, Leonardo DiCaprio, received final construction approval for the Herzliya Marina on Sunday. The Hagag Group, led by brothers Tzachi and Ido Hagag, announced that the Tel Aviv District Planning and Building Committee granted final approval for the project last week.

The approval significantly expands the construction rights for the site to 51,000 square meters (548,959 square feet) and allows for a building height of up to 14 stories, a substantial increase from the original 10,000 square meters (107,639 square feet) at the time of purchase.

The adjustment aligns the hotel’s height with nearby Oceanus and Ritz-Carlton hotels. Additionally, the committee greenlit 8,000 square meters (86,111 square feet) of underground space, including 1,500 square meters (16,146 square feet) designated for primary uses. Notably, last year the committee ruled out the inclusion of vacation apartments in the project.

Led by Hagag Marina Herzliya Ltd., a subsidiary of the Hagag Group, the project will feature approximately 365 hotel rooms across two buildings, with a central swimming pool. The complex will also include a conference center, luxury restaurant and commercial spaces, designed by the architectural firm Ranni Ziss Architects. A standout feature is a yacht marina with direct access to the hotel.
