EL AL, Israel’s national airline, has just made history by being included in the prestigious list of the world’s top 25 airlines for the first time. This significant achievement was awarded by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX), a leading international organization that measures passenger experience. EL AL now stands alongside some of the biggest names in aviation, including Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa, and Qantas.
This milestone comes as EL AL secures its fifth consecutive five-star rating from APEX, a testament to its commitment to service excellence. Less than 7% of the more than 600 airlines reviewed worldwide achieve this top-tier rating. The recognition is based on millions of passenger feedback surveys across five key areas: Crew service, Food and beverages, In-flight entertainment, Seat comfort and Wi-Fi services.
This impressive ranking highlights EL AL’s ongoing efforts to enhance its long-term strategic plan, even while navigating the challenges of high passenger volume. According to Oren Cohen Butansky, EL AL’s Vice President of Customers and Service, “Entering the prestigious ranking of the world’s 25 leading airlines is a testament to the fact that the service sector is in constant motion, as part of the implementation of the company’s long-term strategic plan. Despite the challenges of the war, which are also reflected in high occupancy rates compared to the rest of the world, EL AL continues to improve all the way.”
APEX, a non-profit organization with over 40 years of experience, is a global leader in researching and developing passenger experience standards. Their independent, data-driven methodology provides a reliable and respected benchmark for quality in the airline industry. This latest recognition underscores EL AL’s dedication to providing a world-class travel experience and signals a bright future for the airline as a top choice for international travelers.
