“We are proud to be part of the momentum of Dead Sea development in the Tamar Regional Council. The massive Atlantis City project will be an international flagship project, unprecedented in Israel. Its location, adjacent to the famous Mushroom Beach, will serve as a pilgrimage site for tourists from all over the world”.

A colossal tourism complex, poised to become the largest in Israel, is currently under construction at the Dead Sea. The ambitious project, valued at hundreds of millions of ILS – with an estimated investment of around 800 million ILS, will introduce a major convention center, tourist attractions, a luxury hotel, and a commercial hub to the region. This development is part of a significant wave of expansion that includes the construction of no less than 20 new hotels within the Tamar Regional Council.

Barclays Group, led by real estate developer Moti Green, who also owns Barclays and Atlantis City company, has received official permits and commenced construction on the “Atlantis City” tourism project. This innovative complex will span an impressive 110,000 square meters and is strategically located on the Dead Sea coastline, adjacent to the popular Mushroom Beach. The grand opening is anticipated approximately three years from now.

The centerpiece of the development will be a five-star hotel featuring 370 luxurious suites. Each suite is designed to offer unobstructed views of the Dead Sea and will include private pools. Among the accommodations are expansive 250-square-meter penthouses complete with solariums and large swimming pools. The complex will also boast a 20,000-square-meter commercial center, a promenade lined with dozens of shops, restaurants, and cafes, an indoor mall, and a high-end rooftop area featuring a transparent infinity pool and a chef restaurant.

A major highlight and expected draw will be a colossal aquarium, planned to be the seventh largest in the world, offering visitors an immersive diving experience within an underwater glass tunnel.

Moti Green stated, “We are proud to be part of the momentum of Dead Sea development in the Tamar Regional Council. The massive Atlantis City project will be an international flagship project, unprecedented in Israel. Its location, adjacent to the famous Mushroom Beach, will serve as a pilgrimage site for tourists from all over the world”.

Nir Wanger, Head of the Tamar Regional Council, added, “In cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, the council encourages all developers who believe in the Dead Sea area. The council supports the many developers who understand the immense potential of the Dead Sea, both nationally and internationally”.
