Infinity, the first exhibition of its kind in Israel, an immersive exhibition at the Arena complex in Jerusalem, has opened this week and will continue up to October 31, 2024. The exhibition offers the visitors a journey to the edge of reality, where time stops and space is distorted. Infinity combines interactive light and music installations that blur the boundaries between reality and the digital world. A journey where light, music and movement merge into a mesmerizing creation.
The Infinity exhibition, held at the initiative of the Jerusalem Municipality and the Ariel Municipal Society, offers an innovative approach to culture and art and combines sculpture, lighting and special visual effects. A space of 1,800 square meters that was specially established in the arena, divided into 8 complexes where each complex has a different experience, spectacular characters, colors and sounds.
The space includes the entrance hall – the entrance to the museum begins in a hall surrounded by mirrors on all sides, LED strips create a feeling of never-ending movement.
The space of the interactive dancer – in the central space we host the international Australian artist Eness who exhibits works all over the world. In the space you will find an interactive dancer about ten meters high with internal lighting that responds to your movements. Every movement will create a reaction, and raises the thought of the interrelationship between man and space, between movement and light.
The space of the kinetic spheres – illuminated spheres that move to the beat of the music, while a lighting wall behind them reacts to the sounds. This space invites us to observe the invisible forces that move our world, and to feel the musical energy that surrounds us.
The space of the interactive screens – huge touch screens that react to every movement, invite you to communicate with the digital in an unmediated way. Here you can explore the relationship between virtual and physical reality, and understand the limits of human interaction.
The space of the light rays – when the hands cut the light rays in this space, the light changes and a musical harmony is born. The room invites you to think about the relationship between touch and sound, and to experience the natural harmony of the world in new and surprising ways.
The space of mirrors and music – the objects and mirrors in the space create the feeling of a dance club. The space invites you to think about the identity of the observer and the reflection in the eyes of others, and at the same time experience the feeling of losing yourself in the crowd.
The space of the seasons – a 360 projection of the cycles of the seasons remind us of the natural cycles of time and our connection to nature. This room invites us to reflect on the cycles of life and time.
The Labyrinth of Mirrors – an infinite labyrinth space where the viewer’s image is broadcast with special effects, the space invites you to get lost and reorient yourself within your own reflections, and to ask the question: Who am I really?
