Since the beginning of the war in Gaza, most foreign airlines have suspended their flights to Israel or canceled them until further notice. Just before the year 2024 begins, there is light at the end of the tunnel, and we have already been informed of several major airlines that are going to restart their flights to Tel Aviv.

The skies will begin to open already in January, with the return of the airline giant Lufthansa on January 8, together with two other companies from the same group: Austrian Airlines and Swiss. Lufthansa plans to operate 4 weekly flights to Frankfurt and 3 weekly flights to Munich, Austrian will operate 8 weekly flights to Vienna and Swiss will operate 5 weekly flights to Zurich.

Another company that will return on January 1, is the Romanian Tarom airline that will start flying twice a week from Tel Aviv to Bucharest.

Air Europe announced that it intends to return to Israel starting February 1st and will operate 3 weekly flights to Madrid which are expected to increase to 7 weekly flights in the future. In addition, if there are no last-minute changes, United Airlines is also expected to return the line to New York starting on February 2.

The British airline Virgin Atlantic has announced that it will resume flights on the London-Tel Aviv route, starting March 17, with a frequency of one flight a day.

The foreign companies that already fly to Israel and will continue to operate flights in 2024 are: Uzbekistan Air, Ethiopian Airlines, Etihad, Azimuth, Blue Bird, Hainan Airlines, Fly Dubai, Fly One and Red Wings.
