The New Appointments:

* Yoram Algrabli – North America Representative Manager, Ministry of Tourism Bureau in New York

Between 2016 and 2022, he served as El Al’s manager for North and Central America. He worked as a consultant in tourism and aviation management in the United States. Additionally, he previously served as El Al’s manager in Western Europe and as El Al’s CFO in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg. He holds a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Business Administration with a specialization in management from Ono Academic College.

 

* Galit Hoffman – Manager of the Tourism Bureau in India

Hoffman has extensive experience in the Indian market, in both the public and business sectors. In recent years, she managed sales activities for the Indian market at Mobileye, alongside her role as product marketing manager in the company’s IMS division. Previously, she worked for a decade at the Ministry of Defense, serving, among other roles, as Deputy Military Attaché for Industrial-Security Cooperation Promotion at the Israeli Embassy in India – a position in which she led strategic initiatives to promote Israeli security exports to India. Before that, she served as Head of Research and Strategic Planning in the Spokesperson and Public Diplomacy Division. Furthermore, she brings extensive experience in communication and public relations, having served as spokesperson and head of the public diplomacy unit at the Israeli Embassy in India on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as spokesperson for the Sports Channel, and as a journalist for Maariv.

 

* Ola Gurevich Lucas – Manager of the Ministry of Tourism Bureau in China

A graduate of the Ministry of Tourism’s cadet course. She has lived in China for a decade and speaks the language. She holds a Master’s degree in Political Economy of China from Jiaotong University in Shanghai. She worked as a reporter and editor at China Radio International, and as a project manager at the Israel-China Chamber of Commerce. In recent years, she has been involved in digital activities on the Ministry of Tourism’s international pages.

 

The managers are responsible for the marketing activities and the ongoing professional management of the bureaus and their employees in accordance with the Ministry of Tourism’s policy. They will lead initiatives to promote tourism to Israel, initiate business collaborations, and maintain continuous contact with tourism and media stakeholders in the relevant countries. They will also serve as the Ministry’s representatives to official and commercial bodies in their respective countries.

 

The selection of candidates was made after rigorous screening at assessment centers and by professional committees.

In 2025, approximately one million tourists entered Israel. As the security situation stabilizes, the number of incoming tourists increases. The forecast is for approximately 1.5 million tourists to enter in 2025.

 

The Ministry of Tourism operates 18 bureaus worldwide, including in New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Moscow, Shanghai, Mumbai, Sao Paulo, and more. These appointments reflect the importance of the Ministry’s international activities and its commitment to deepening ties with global tourism markets, especially during this period, as part of the effort to continue positioning Israel as a leading attractive tourist destination.
