Fattal, Israel’s international hotel chain, is working to expand its NYX lifestyle brand in Israel and will open a new hotel, its fourth in Jerusalem.

The new NYX hotel is expected to open in 2021 in the heart of the Mahane Yehuda market on Jaffa Road, as part of the Etz Hayim compound and will include two buildings with 168 hotel rooms.

The new hotel will combine residential, hotel, commercial and cultural elements and will have an inner courtyard.

The hotel is expected to have 168 rooms, of which 12 suites will be in two different buildings: a central building with 144 rooms, commercial areas and a roof bar, and another building, which will be a preserved building, with 24 rooms and public areas – lobby, bar, restaurant and outdoor terrace. In addition, the hotel will have an underground car park, gym and swimming pool.

The hotel was designed by the world-renowned architect IAN BADER (Ian Bieder) of the American architectural firm “Faye Cobb Fried & Co.” which designed the Louvre Museum in Paris, in collaboration with architects “Barley-Levitzky-Kassif” and the architectural firm “Feigin”.

The location of the hotel, in the heart of the colorful Mahane Yehuda market, will enable the connection between the authentic Jerusalem atmosphere and the modernity and innovation that will characterize the hotel’s facilities. NYX Jerusalem will be the fourth Fattal hotel in the city, following the Leonardo Plaza, Leonardo and Leonardo Boutique Jerusalem hotels that opened in May 2017. The hotel will rent the Fattal chain from JTLV.

Amir Biram, Founder and CEO of JTLV, said: “We are proud to establish the first hotel of its kind in the Mahaneh Yehuda market and are happy to cooperate with the Fattal chain in general and the NYX brand in particular.”

Assaf Fattal, the business manager of the chain, said, “Jerusalem is in a period of tourism prosperity and we are happy to take part in this development. The NYX brand, the lifestyle brand of the Fattal hotel chain, offers a different, younger and more exciting experience, and we expect it to appeal to the capital’s public and even new audiences who have yet to find the perfect place to stay. The location of the hotel in the Mahaneh Yehuda market will also be a significant factor for attracting a colorful and varied audience that wants to enjoy an authentic Jerusalem experience – the past and the future, the old and the new.”

The NYX brand is the brand name of the Fattal hotel chain, offering a unique urban experience and a magnet for tourists and locals who want to experience local culture and contemporary art. The brand operates in Europe in Prague and Milan, and at the end of March another brand hotel will be opened in Madrid and, later this year, in Munich. Additional brand hotels in Europe are expected to open in 2019. In Israel, the brand operates in the city of Tel Aviv, with the opening of NYX Herzliya in 2018 and the NYX Jerusalem in 2021. NYX hotels are strategically located and offer proximity to airports, city centers or peaceful suburbs.
